We’re looking for a dynamic Tech Lead for Backend Services to bridge the gap between product vision and development execution. In this role, you’ll manage a team of 5 developers, collaborate with the Product Lead to define goals and ETAs and ensure the balance between rapid development and building stable, long-lasting systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive technical decisions for the platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and product requirements. Provide strategic direction on architecture, development processes, and technology stacks.
Contribute to the codebase approximately 20-30% of the time, leading by example and setting high standards for code quality and efficiency.
Conduct regular code reviews to ensure best practices, high-quality output, and maintainable code, while also fostering a collaborative development environment.
Mentor and guide the Backend developers team, helping them grow technically and professionally. Provide support in problem-solving, technical challenges, and career development.
Work closely with the Product Leads to translate business needs into technical solutions, define goals, timelines, and ensure smooth communication between teams.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2-3 years of technical leadership experience where you’ve made software architecture decisions, mentored and guided a team of engineers, and ensured the successful delivery of development projects.
At least 8 years of experience in backend development, with a deep understanding of backend services, infrastructure management, and delivering high-performance systems.
Advanced-level skills in Golang are essential, with hands-on experience in designing and building scalable systems.
Significant experience with microservices architecture and cloud-based solutions, ideally AWS. Practical knowledge of Docker and other relevant technologies is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in English
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience in setting up infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and working with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker is highly desirable. This includes the ability to manage the full development lifecycle from code deployment to production monitoring and optimization.
