Senior System Administrator

Description

A growing technology group is seeking an experienced System Administrator to maintain and optimize office infrastructure and support a diverse technical environment. The position involves end-to-end project ownership, mentorship of junior colleagues, and hands-on management of cloud-based and on-site systems across Mac OS and Windows platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and deliver IT infrastructure projects from initiation to completion
  • Maintain stable performance of workplace technologies: network, Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, and hardware
  • Provide first- and second-level support for Mac OS and Windows systems
  • Manage more than 400 workstations both on-site and remotely
  • Oversee IT warehouse operations, including setup and removal of technical equipment.
  • Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and technical solutions in Confluence or similar tools
  • Ensure security compliance, network safety, and system reliability

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in English and German (at least B2)
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a System Administrator or equivalent technical role
  • Proven expertise in OS administration (Jamf), network security setup and infrastructure fallbacks, automation of processes e.g. provisioning, flawless running of Unifi infrastructure
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows, macOS, Google Workspace, and familiarity with Jira
  • Experience managing large-scale IT environments (400+ devices)
  • Fully on-site work from the Hamburg office
