Our client is one of the world’s largest independent video game developers. They co-develop and support AAA game creation at the highest level and are currently looking for a Middle Game Engineer to join their team.
This opportunity is well-suited for a versatile engineer with a generalist profile, strong practical expertise in C/C++, and solid hands-on experience in game development. In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to high-quality game development across multiple platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners on complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities
Contribute to game development across gameplay, UI, systems, tools, and platform-specific features
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C/C++
Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features
Support development and optimization for multiple platforms
Take ownership of technical tasks from implementation to debugging and polishing
Requirements
3+ years of experience in game development
Generalist profile with the ability to work across different areas of development
Deep, practical knowledge of C/C++
Experience working on multiple platforms
Fluent English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
Co-development experience with external partners
Experience with both Unreal Engine and a proprietary/in-house engine
