Our client is a global mobile marketing and ad-tech company powering a proprietary affiliate tracking and attribution platform. They help brands and app developers grow via data-driven solutions and advanced performance marketing technology. They are looking for a Lead Engineer who will shape the technical future of their tracking infrastructure and enable global scalability and reliability.
This role involves 6 months of onboarding in Seminyak, Bali. Please only apply if that’s possible for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define, design, build, and optimize core systems of the tracking platform, selecting architectural patterns that ensure long-term scalability and reliability
Translate requirements from Product, Data, and Operations into robust technical solutions
Mentor and lead other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing; actively code and help resolve complex technical challenges
Promote engineering best practices, proactively address root causes of issues, ensure code quality, testability, and performance
Implement privacy compliance measures (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), align engineering practices with industry standards
Set up and maintain monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting processes; document learnings to prevent recurrence
Explore, integrate, and experiment with new technologies to improve efficiency, performance, and system resilience
REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience in engineering leadership roles, ideally in ad-tech, mar-tech, or large-scale SaaS platforms
Strong backend engineering skills (for example Node.js, Python, Go, or Java)
Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with databases and data pipelines (SQL or NoSQL, Kafka, Spark, etc.)
Deep understanding of tracking, attribution, affiliate and performance marketing systems
Knowledge of privacy and compliance frameworks and standards (GDPR, CCPA, ATT)
Good problem-solving skills and history of building high-performance, scalable systems
Strong leadership and communication skills to work with distributed/global teams
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with performance marketing, affiliate networks, or attribution platforms
A track record in optimising system performance under high load
Familiarity with containerization/orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
