Our client is looking for a Russian Language Manager to join their localization team and support the development, launch, and ongoing success of their games. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Russian localization experience, excellent writing skills, and a passion for high-quality RPGs. You’ll take ownership of Russian language quality across in-game text, dialogue, marketing, PR content, and other player-facing materials. The role requires a strong eye for detail, cultural awareness, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and external localization partners to ensure the Russian version feels accurate, natural, and fully aligned with the player experience. This is a 2-year fixed-term contract based in Dublin.
Responsibilities
Own and maintain the quality of Russian translations across the game and related content.
Translate in-game text, voice scripts, marketing materials, PR content, and other product-related copy.
Create and maintain translation memories, glossaries, terminology databases, and style guides.
Provide cultural and creative input to ensure the game is properly localized for the Russian market.
Stay up to date with trends in the games industry in the target market and share relevant insights with internal stakeholders.
Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to resolve terminology, quality, and workflow-related questions.
Work closely with external localization vendors to improve and maintain language quality.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience localizing video games.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in Russian.
Fluent English communication skills.
Strong understanding of localization quality, tone, context, and cultural adaptation.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage language-related feedback.
Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over language quality.
Passion for games and player experience.
Nice to Have
Experience working on at least one shipped AAA title.
Experience with CAT tools, especially memoQ.
Experience with voice acting casting.
Experience using Confluence and Jira.
