Description

We’re looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our clients’ team and help define the core systems behind a new category of narrative-driven RPGs built on an AI-powered narrative engine.

This is a rare opportunity for a designer who deeply understands tabletop roleplaying systems and can translate them into compelling digital experiences, while actively embracing AI as part of the creative and production workflow.

You’ll work closely with the Creative Director and a multidisciplinary team to shape mechanics, progression, and narrative systems that sit at the heart of the project.

If you’re a systems-driven designer, passionate about tabletop RPGs, and excited about building something ambitious from the ground up with AI as a core tool, this role is for you.

This position is open to candidates based in Europe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and balance complex systems, including traits, progression, and content structures
  • Translate tabletop RPG mechanics into scalable and engaging PC gameplay systems
  • Invent, refine, and iterate on new mechanics in alignment with the overall vision
  • Collaborate closely with narrative, AI, engineering, and art teams to ensure systems support storytelling and gameplay goals
  • Finalize and maintain detailed documentation and feature specifications
  • Collaborate with design and technical team members to define how AI systems and tools are used in the game’s narrative layer

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong experience as a Game Designer on shipped RPG titles 
  • Deep knowledge of tabletop RPG systems
  • Previous experience in narrative-driven RPG design
  • Ability to translate abstract or tabletop mechanics into fully realised digital systems
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and shaping systems collaboratively
  • Openness and enthusiasm toward using AI as a tool to improve workflow and quality

ABOUT THE COMPANY
The studio, founded in 2023, is building the world’s first narrative physics engine. It’s a systemic framework that makes narrative-driven RPGs scalable and cost-effective to produce.
Their vision: create narrative-first games, then empower players to build their own stories and worlds, similar to a Roblox but for RPGs.
