RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and grow a payments engineering team in Poland, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional development
• Drive the development and integration of payment systems, working closely with multiple third-party providers (payment processors, taxes, refunds, chargebacks)
• Own major features end-to-end, from technical architecture and planning through implementation and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, BI, Product) to ensure alignment and efficient delivery of payment solutions
• Maintain and optimize high-performance, secure payment systems serving millions of users globally

REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with proven track record in high-scale systems, particularly in payment processing and third-party API integrations
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and relational databases (MySQL), including performance optimization
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams and cross-functional projects
• Strong technical background in backend development, with Node.js experience
• Excellent English communication skills with experience in collaborating across international teams
