Our client is seeking an indepentent Accountant with native level of Polish and a good command of English. This person will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy and supporting financial and tax processes, including areas such as tax incentives and contract settlements.
Responsibilities
Perform substantive and formal review of accounting documents and ensure proper registration in the system.
Reconcile balances, monitor settlements, and manage the company’s payables and receivables.
Verify and reconcile VAT registers and support the preparation of tax returns.
Maintain fixed assets records.
Manage accruals and deferrals.
Conduct ongoing analysis and verification of postings and entries in accounting accounts.
Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and business needs.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, including those related to company projects.
Requirements
2–3 years of experience in full-scope accounting (full bookkeeping).
Higher education (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or related field).
Good knowledge of Polish tax regulations and the Accounting Act.
English at minimum B2 level, enabling confident communication.
Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
Strong self-organization and ability to manage priorities effectively.
High attention to detail, reliability, and ownership of tasks.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
Nice to have
Experience with Symfonia ERP.
Familiarity with IP Box and R&D tax relief.
