Job Description
- Maintain the production and software pipeline and meet deadlines.
- Creating high quality characters, creatures and props rigging and skinning suitable technically to project the desired universe.
- Autonomously implementing characters in Unreal Engine including cloth, physics and blueprint setups.
- Work closely with modelers and animators to ensure a smooth development pipeline that delivers high quality assets.
- Contributes to pipeline tools and working with engine and project leads on continuous improvement of those engine tools.
- Ability to provide clean and optimized assets or code within established systems and requirements.
- Autonomously work on pipeline tools and working with engine and project leads and propose continuous improvement of those engine tools including pushing forward on R&D case studies.
- Occasionally support Lead in recruitment projects with HR collaboration.
- Occasionally support new hires onboarding process.
Qualifications
- Typically 5+ years, Involved in the production cycle of at least 1 title
- Good mentoring skills.
- Strong understanding of department dependencies and needed areas of collaboration throughout the project.
- Great experience with Maya, specializing in rigging/skinning.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and character movement with close attention to physical deformation.
- Knowledge of facial rigs for games, television or film.
- Strong physics simulation on cloth, hair and other physics items.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly provide technical feedback into the tasks, rigs, toolsets and documentation.
- Good programming skills, ability to write Python code.
- Familiarity with Unreal engine art production pipelines including notably character/animation related features.
- Self-motivation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
- Modeling and animation experience
- Familiarity with other tools like Houdini and blender is a plus

About the Company
