Senior / Expert 3D Animator (Unannounced Project)
English translation by the 8Bit team. The original job post was published in Polish.
We are looking for an experienced and versatile 3D Animator to join the team working on P12, a new IP from 11 bit studios. This is one of the projects opening the next chapter in the studio’s history, where we want to combine engaging gameplay with what has been an important part of our games for years: believable emotions and experiences that stay with players for longer.
If animation means more to you than just the craft itself, if you enjoy searching, experimenting, and testing different approaches, and if you truly want to become part of a project and have an impact on it, we would like to meet you.
This role requires working in a hybrid model from our office in Warsaw.
Your responsibilities will include:
- creating character animations for gameplay purposes – from moving through the world to combat-related behaviours, including ranged combat,
- creating natural, subtle character behaviours in close interactions, with particular focus on hand work, body movement, and small gestures,
- working with both keyframe animation and motion capture material,
- preparing and adjusting rigs, as well as basic skinning,
- implementing and iterating animations in Unreal Engine,
- collaborating with designers, artists, and other team members on developing animation solutions for the project.
We are looking for you if you:
- have at least 4 years of experience in animation for game production,
- have at least one shipped title to your name,
- have very good knowledge of Unreal Engine,
- have very good knowledge of Maya and/or MotionBuilder,
- speak Polish at a level that allows for comfortable communication within the team,
- have a broad animation skill set and can move confidently between keyframe animation, motion capture, rigging, and basic skinning,
- have very good knowledge of animation principles and anatomy, as well as a strong sense of weight, dynamics, and natural movement,
- understand how animation functions in gameplay and works together with other game systems,
- are independent and engaged – you look for context, do research, and come forward with your own suggestions,
- are open to feedback and can work with the team to arrive at the best solutions.
