Marketing & Events Coordinator
Inferno Studios is seeking a talented and proactive Marketing & Events Coordinator to join its growing team in a brand-new role. This is a 12-month contract position with a strong possibility of becoming permanent, depending on studio needs and performance.
As a one-person marketing and events function, you will play a key role in shaping Inferno’s public presence, supporting our internal culture, and bringing our brand to life across social platforms, events, and studio initiatives. Creative direction and oversight will be provided by the Managing Director, with this role focused on delivering high-quality, consistent execution.
Inferno’s brand draws inspiration from alternative culture and aesthetics, seeking to bring high-energy and raw creativity to its identity. We’re looking for someone excited to help bring this creative direction to life, and an understanding and appreciation for these types of aesthetics is highly valued.
This position is fully remote, however applicants must be based in the UK to be considered.
Responsibilities:
Marketing & Content
- Create, edit, and publish engaging content for our social media channels, including short-form videos, graphics and written posts.
- Manage and update the company website and write blog articles aligned with our brand voice and studio values.
- Support the development of marketing materials, presentations, case studies, and showreels.
- Maintain a content calendar and ensure regular, consistent posting across all platforms.
- Assist with applying for industry awards and coordinating submissions.
Brand & Communications
- Support internal communications, helping strengthen Inferno’s culture and team engagement.
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual, written and digital materials.
- Assist with the creation of internal documents, decks and branded assets when required.
Events
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of the Inferno annual team retreat, including logistics, suppliers and internal communications.
- Support the team’s attendance at industry events (e.g. GDC, XDS, Develop) including booking travel, accommodation and event passes.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials, banners, merchandise and documentation for studio events.
- Maintain smooth organisation around events, deadlines and key studio activities.
General Coordination
- Work closely with the Managing Director to execute the studio’s marketing vision and messaging.
- Liaise with external freelancers or agencies when required.
- Track and report on marketing activity, engagement and event outcomes.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, content creation, communications or a similar role.
- Strong skills in creating social content, including graphic design and short-form video editing.
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to write clear, engaging copy.
- Confident using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and similar content creation software.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote team environment.
- Experience coordinating events and booking travel/logistics.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of day-to-day marketing delivery.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in games, VFX, animation or other creative industries.
- Experience in video editing and graphic design is highly desirable.
- Experience using WordPress or similar CMS platforms to edit and update website content.
- Understanding of brand development and maintaining visual identity.
- Experience coordinating industry events or retreats.
- Understanding of analytics tools and social media performance metrics.
- Experience liaising with contractors, agencies or freelancers.
- Familiarity with motion graphics or animation is a plus.
