In this 100% remote Senior Technical Animator role you’ll get the chance to set the rigging & animation vision across various projects (over 20+ AAA projects on-going); develop user- friendly tools using MEL/Python; Work within an international environment, mentor juniors, and actively participate in art reviews for continuous improvement.
Set strategic vision for rigging and animation across projects.
Develop and optimize tools and pipelines using MEL/Python for efficiency and quality.
Create and maintain versatile rigs for various elements (characters, creatures, weapons, etc.) throughout production.
Manage personal workload and time, while supporting and mentoring junior team members.
Engage in art reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance creative ideas.
At least 5 years of professional experience in the gaming industry.
Strong knowledge of Maya or similar software, with a specialization in rigging and skinning techniques.
Strong knowledge in MEL and Python scripting.
Experience developing tools for animation pipelines.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in working with Unreal Engine or similar proprietary engine.
Comprehensive understanding of in-game optimization and performance.
NICE TO HAVE
Programming and scripting experience in C++ or C#.
Experience managing artists.
